An important part of Helsinki's cultural and artistic life is the Kaapeli Tehdas (Cable Factory). This huge converted industrial building houses a restaurant, the Cable Gallery, which doubles as a vast theater as well as various small but worthy museums, including the Suomen Valokuvataiteen Museo (Finnish Museum of Photography). The complex also has radio stations and artists' studios. It's a short bus or metro ride (Ruoholahti station) to the west of the town center.
