Ripon Cathedral

Ripon Cathedral Review

Successive churches here were destroyed by the Vikings and the Normans. The current cathedral, dating from the 12th and 13th centuries, is notable for its finely carved choir stalls. The Saxon crypt (AD 672) used to house sacred relics but is now a series of empty chambers.
