Fodor's Review

Alongside the leafy expanse of Clifton Down is one of the country's most famous zoos. More than 400 animal species live in 12 acres of gardens; the Seal and Penguin coasts, with underwater viewing, are rival attractions for Gorilla Island, Bug World, and Twilight World. Take Bus 8 or 9 from Temple Meads Station or the city center; a Zoo Safari ticket available from any First bus gives you discounted bus travel and zoo entry.
