White Hart Hotel Review

This venerable 17th-century coaching inn has counted the eminent statesman William Pitt the Elder among its guests, and little has changed since he visited in the 18th century: the rooms retain their low doors and sloping floors, for example. Don't worry about contemporary comforts, because they provide all the amenities necessary for a night or two, including private bathrooms. A range of foods is available in the old-fashioned bar and the three restaurants, including Sunday lunchtime carveries.
