Fodor's Review

One of the university's best-known and oldest colleges (dating to 1379), New College stands alongside New College Lane, known for its Italianate Bridge of Sighs, and is partly enclosed by the medieval city wall. Its grounds are big and enticing, with acres of soft green grass and pristinely maintained gardens.

Closed without notice, didn't get to see

This college, along with several others, was closed without notice the day I visited Oxford. Apparently this is not unusual among Oxford University's colleges. The gatekeeper did let me peek inside for a couple minutes, which is more than I can say for the gatekeepers at Merton, University, Queen's, or Corpus Christi, ALL of which were closed that day. Utterly ridiculous.
