Fodor's Expert Review Blenheim Guest House & Tea Rooms
17 Park St., Woodstock, Oxfordshire, OX20 1SJ, England
Editor's Note: This location is no longer in operation.
Small and unassuming, this prettily furnished three-story guesthouse stands in the quiet village cul-de-sac that leads to the back gates of Blenheim Palace. You can still make out the Victorian-era banner that says "Views and Postcards of Blenheim." The guest rooms have modest period furnishings, with sheer curtains, but the Marlborough room is unique—its bathroom has a view of the palace.
PROS
- handy tearoom downstairs
- good location
CONS
- no frills
- floors are a bit creaky
