The Thames Valley Restaurants

Waffle House

Fodor's Review

Indoors or outside, you can enjoy a great budget meal at the 16th-century Kingsbury Watermill, near the Verulamium Museum. The organic flour for the sweet-and-savory Belgian waffles comes from Redbournbury Watermill, just north of the city. In the main dining room you can see the wheel churn the water of the River Ver. It's also open for early dinners until 7 pm Thursday through Saturday.

Waffly Long Queues in the Summer but worth the wait

Indoor and outdoor tables in a lovely setting. Try the something from the specials board, original and normally very tasty. Busy all year round but especially manic at weekends in Summer. Staff helpful and friendly but generally work at a frenetic pace.
