Trout Inn

Trout Inn Review

More than a century ago, Lewis Carroll took three children on a Thames picnic. "We rowed up to Godstow, and had tea beside a haystack," he told a friend at Christ Church; "I told them the fairy tale of Alice's adventures in Wonderland." The haystacks are gone, but you can stop at the creeper-covered pub 2 miles north of the city center. Expect stone-baked pizzas, fresh pastas, and salads, and a range of daily specials. This place is at the heart of the tourist trail and can get crowded; service may falter.
