Church of King Charles the Martyr
Church of King Charles the Martyr Review
Across the road from the Pantiles, this church dates from 1678, when it was dedicated to Charles I, who had been executed by Parliament in 1649. Its plain exterior belies its splendid interior, with a particularly beautiful plastered baroque ceiling.
