Fodor's Review

Next to Canterbury West Station, this vaulted wooden space with stone-and-brick walls was a storage shed in Victorian times. Now it's a farmers' market with a restaurant that has wooden tables and huge arched windows overlooking the market and a butchers' stall. It's well known for offering fresh, seasonal Kentish food—think locally caught fish and smoked meats, local cider, and freshly baked bread. Whatever is freshest that day appears on the menu, whether it's John Dory with garlic, or steak with blue cheese butter.
