Fodor's Review

Incorporating what is believed to be the most complete set of Roman walls in northern Europe, this fort was originally built more than 1,700 years ago. Inside the impressive fortifications are the remains of royal apartments added by Richard II in the 1390s. From the keep's central tower you can take in sweeping views of the harbor and coastline.
