Fodor's Expert Review No. 6
Editor's Note: This location is no longer in operation.
Just behind the County Museum, this pleasant neighborhood brasserie makes an ideal stop for a relaxed lunch or evening meal. Fresh fish comes in twice a day, so the weekly-changing menu may list locally caught sea bass in olive oil and herbs, monkfish, langoustines, or Portland crab, while for carnivores there's locally sourced game such as pheasant, hare, or venison marinated in thyme and port. The atmosphere is intimate without being chichi, and the tiled floor and sidewalk tables lend a Continental air.
