This cozy farmhouse B&B, a couple of miles south of Alnwick, is an oasis of contemporary style and homespun charm. The 19th-century building has been renovated with chic color schemes, modern fabrics, and comfortable antique-style beds. Host Philippa Bell is a delight, and seems to really enjoy welcoming her guests with thoughtful touches like freshly baked cakes every day. Breakfasts are tasty and filling; try the homemade fruit compote.
