Lake District Sights

Tarn Hows Review

Two miles northwest of Hawkshead (follow signs on B5285) is this small mountain lake, one of the Lake District's most celebrated beauty spots. Scenic overlooks let you drink it all in, or you can take an hour to putter along the paths. Easter through October, a free National Trust bus runs here from Hawkshead and Coniston on Sunday.
