Yew Tree Farm Review
Homemade cakes on arrival set the scene for this friendly, working farm B&B 2 miles north of Coniston toward Skelwith Bridge. Once owned by Beatrix Potter, and later used in filming the story of her life, Yew Tree Farm is nestled in some especially attractive hills, and it retains some of Potter's original furnishings. Two rooms have lovely four-poster beds. Caroline Watson, the owner, runs free tours of the farm every Wednesday morning. All this means that it's very popular, and you'll need to book in advance.
