Miller Howe Review
A lovely location, lake views, and superb service help set this luxurious Edwardian country-house hotel apart. The sumptuous guest rooms have an Arts and Crafts-inspired feel, with William Morris wallpaper, fresh flowers, roll-top baths, and contemporary art brightening the individually decorated rooms. At the very edge of town, some rooms have lake views; you can also relax in the conservatory and look across the grounds to the water. The Modern British restaurant (open by reservation to nonguests) serves sophisticated fare, and the hotel arranges activities from archery to pony trekking.
