Fodor's Review:

The Ashmolean, the world's oldest public museum, was originally housed in this 1638 building, which now holds scientific and mathematical instruments, from astrolabes to quadrants to medical equipment. You can also visit the restored 18th-century chemical laboratory in the basement.
