Royal Shakespeare Theatre Review
The Stratford home of the Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC), set amid gardens along the River Avon, reopened in March 2011 after an extensive renovation. Highlights of the new theater are better sightlines, better seating, and better acoustics; a viewing tower and rooftop restaurant are other amenities. The company, which presents some of the world's finest productions of Shakespeare's plays, has existed since 1879. Shows are also staged in the Swan. Book ahead for the popular backstage tour; times vary.
