Whether you eat in the sleek, dark-wood restaurant or the foliage-filled courtyard, you'll be tucking into good local and seasonal produce. Look out for the Shropshire lamb and, in winter, local venison sausages with Shropshire blue cheese mash. It's a good spot for plump sandwiches at lunchtime, or afternoon tea or cocktails later in the day. Four contemporary rooms are available should you wish to linger longer.
