$$$-$$$$, Stratford-upon-Avon
Fodor's Review:
This good-value, modern chain hotel's best selling points are its excellent location in the center of the historic district, on the banks of the Avon, and its views across the river and town center. It also has plenty of modern amenities. Rooms are large and have plenty of light, but bathrooms are a bit of a squeeze. Furnishings are inexpensive and cheerful; the management planned some refurbishing in 2006-07. Children are welcomed enthusiastically (if you don't appreciate kids, you might find this place annoying). Ask for rooms away from the elevators, as those can be a bit noisy, and call well in advance to check on special rates.
