This lovely guesthouse, just around the corner from Mary Arden's House, occupies a 16th-century cottage that retains its beamed ceilings, flagstone floors, and exposed brick walls. The small garden provides an ideal place to relax. Rooms, decorated in a flowery country style, have coffeemakers and some antique furnishings, and guests have access to the kitchen and the living room. The apartments are ideal for longer stays. Shakespeare's parents owned Pear Tree Cottage in the late 1500s.
