The Capital

Fodor's Review:

The French haute cuisine is sublime at this legendary clublike hotel dining room that has retained a grown-up atmosphere and formal service since it opened in 1978. Chef Eric Chavot serves impeccable dishes in chic surroundings. Go for exquisite scallops with cucumber jelly, frogs' legs with gnocchi, or turbot and ravioli. Desserts like mint parfait or lemon sorbet are sensational, too. It's two seconds from Harrods, and the £27.50 set lunch is an absolute bargain.
