Covent Garden's hippy-vibey '70s-style subterranean BYO vegetarian café has a cult veggie and vegan following, so be prepared to queue onto Neal St. with the best of them. You'll find cramped wooden communal tables and a daily changing menu of wholesome soups, salads, pulses, stews, quiches, stir-fries, bakes, and casseroles—from mushroom Stroganoff to Rajistani red lentil curry. Wheat-free, gluten-free, GM–free, free-range, Fair Trade, vegan, and organic options are available throughout, and leave room for such puddings as their famous oat-based strawberry and banana "Scrunch." There's take-away, but note that it's only open from noon until 8:30 pm Monday through Saturday, and from noon until 5:30 pm on Sundays.
