Bespeckled chef/co-owner Tom Pemberton mans the front-of-house grill and prep station at this must-visit Bayswater favorite for pared-down and pomp-free British fare. With an accent on well-sourced honest-to-goodness regional and seasonal British ingredients, many dishes are as unfussy as you'll find. Work your way though uncluttered razor clams and lovage, lemon sole with sea dulse, pigeon and pickled walnut salad, and damson sorbet. Expect to bump into the entire well-heeled Tory party leadership and Notting Hill set on the way in and out.
