Baozi Inn
Baozi Inn Review
Vintage Communist Party paraphernalia and Chairman Mao posters decorate the walls of this handy hole-in-the-wall Sichuan café on a busy side street in Chinatown. Baozi steamed buns—shrimp and radish, or pork and onion—are house specials, and there's dragon wonton broth, Dan Dan noodles with mustard greens and sesame paste, plus Chengdu pork dumplings with chili oil. Other warm and filling top choices include ginger juice spinach and "Peace and Happiness" noodle soup, topped with duck and Chinese toon tree shoots. Tables are cramped, prices are low, turnover is fast, and customer service is bang! bang! bang!
