Fodor's Review:

An understated blend of contemporary and classic results in pure, modern luxury here. Flawlessly designed inside an Edwardian building, One Aldwych is coolly eclectic, with an artsy lobby, feather duvets, Italian linen sheets, and ample elegance. It's the ultimate in 21st-century style, from the free, hotel-wide Wi-Fi, down to the gorgeous swimming pool in the awesome health club. Suites have amenities such as a private gym, a kitchen, and a terrace. Breakfast is made with organic ingredients. The pool at One Aldwych has underwater speakers that play music you can hear only when you dive in. Pros: understated (and underwater) luxury. Cons: all this luxury doesn't come cheap.

One Aldwych is my favorite London hotel. I have stayed there many times, and I love it because the staff remember who I am, they will bend over backward to help me out, and are extremely pleasant. The last time I stayed there I felt my room was too noisy, and they instantly moved me to a quieter room. I love the location, near to Covent Garden and right in the Theatre District. The decor is just right for me - modern with clean lines, very new and updated. Room service was great, with lots of options including wheat-free toast. A bit pricey, though. The rooms are a bit small, but all of the rooms in central London seem to be. They are nicely appointed, as are the bathrooms, which have excellent shower/tub combinations. I also appreciate the non-smoking rooms. This is an excellent hotel for business travellers and vacationers who want something a bit up-market with a great location.
