Top-notch neighborhood dining with a West End hue doesn't get much better than this glossy far-west-side trailblazer. In outlying Chiswick, La Trompette has a serious following that goes Lady gaga for the elegant food, smooth service, approachable wine list, and chic surrounds. Everyone seems to opt for the £39.50 three-course dinners, which might impress with lamb's tongues and sweetbreads, cod with flageolot beans or braised pork cheek with Morteau sausage. The desserts—like peach melba or coffee delice—nearly trump the mains.
