It's a coup to wrest the title of London's favorite restaurant from the Ivy, and even more so for a casual neighborhood eatery south of the river on Wandsworth Common. Expect peerless yet relaxed service, and gustatory wonders from chef-proprietor Bruce Poole, ranging from old fashioned braises and daubes to delicious offal preparations and lighter, simply grilled fish dishes. The wines are great, the sommelier superb, and overall it's a warm, satisfying experience.
