There's a cult appeal to this super-value Thai kitchen attached to a traditional English pub swamped in horse tack, bedpans, and Winston Churchill memorabilia. With large portions of all dishes priced around £7, it's a bargain for this part of town, and hence is heaving most nights. The pad thai noodles are a sure bet, as are the prawn and chicken dishes and red or green curries.

This restaurant is in the back of the very charming Churchill Arms Pub. The place charmed me on my first vist to London, and we have included it upon each return visit. The menu offers many choices, almost all for the same price [there are some blackboard specials offered as well]. The quality of food has always been excellent. I have not been back since it was redone, but will get there this summer, and will write an update.
