Selfridges

Fodor's Review:

With its row of massive Ionic columns, this huge store was opened three years after Harry Gordon Selfridge came to London from Chicago in 1906. Now Selfridges is comparable to Harrods in size and scope, and, since investing in major face-lift operations, to Knightsbridge's Harvey Nichols in designer cachet.

  • Open: Mon.-Wed., Fri., and Sat. 9:30-8, Thurs. 9:30-9, Sun. 11:30-6
  • Tube: Marble Arch, Bond St.
