Racine Review

There's always an upscale buzz at this star of the Brompton Rd. dining scene, not far from the V&A, Harrods, and the packed-to-the-rafters Holy Trinity Brompton Church. This smooth-running chic-and-cheerful classic French brasserie de luxe excels in doing the simple things well—and not costing the earth. Veteran chef Henry Harris's signatures like roast partridge and juniper, foie gras with Calvados, soft roe on toast, skate wing, rack of lamb, or adventurous deep fried calf's brains and not-for-the-faint-hearted tête de veau—poached calf's head—all hit the high notes. Many of the satisfied-looking patrons are stealth-wealth local regulars, but even they seem to be tempted by the legendary 3-course £15.50-£17.75 prix-fixe lunch or dinner deals (until 7:30 pm).

    Racine Review

The food was stunning. The service was perfect. Nothing snooty, which was what I had expected. Absolutely one of the best dining experiences we have had yet.
We can not wait to go back!
