Greenwich Market

Fodor's Review:

Established as a fruit-and-vegetable market in 1700, and granted a royal charter in 1849, the covered market now offers mixed stalls of arts and crafts plus antiques and collectibles on Thursday and Friday and food stalls on Saturday and Sunday. Shopping for handicrafts is a pleasure, as in most cases you're buying directly from the artist.

  • Open: Weekends 9:30-5:30, Thurs. and Fri. 7:30-5:30
  • Tube: DLR: Cutty Sark
