London Transport Museum

Fodor's Review:

Housed in the old flower market at the southeast corner of the Covent Garden Piazza, the recently refurbished museum includes the interactive space "Green Futures" that focuses on the challenge of meeting London's growth in partnership with the environment. As you watch the crowds gawking at the horse trams, steam locomotives, and trolley buses from the past, you're not sure who's enjoying it more, children or adults. This kid-friendly (under 16 admitted free) museum is filled with impressive poster, photograph, and vehicle collections. Food and drink are available at the aptly named Upper Deck café.

  • Cost: £8
  • Open: Sat.-Thurs. 10-6 (last admission 5:15), Fri. 11-9 (last admission 8:15)
  • Tube: Leicester Sq., Covent Garden
