Fodor's Review

Unstoppable gastro god Jason Atherton knocks the London dining scene for a loop at his smash-hit flagship found in a cute alleyway off Regent Street. Braying fans enjoy refined small and large dishes ranging from a full "English breakfast" appetizer—a miniature of poached egg on tomato compote, with parsley-flecked bacon, morels, and croutons—to sublime Scottish ox cheek with 50-day Black Angus rib-eye beef, or Devon red mullet with pears and parsley. Diners can opt to get up from their tables to sit and perch at the dessert bar to watch staff as they chop, slice, squeeze, and fiddle away to prepare immaculate Eton Mess with wild strawberries and basil-ash meringue or sashimi-like pressed watermelon with an unlikely basil sorbet. Look out for Atherton, who's often around, and note the £28.50 set lunch.
