Fodor's Review

Up from The City, you'll find Exmouth Market, a cluster of cute indie boutiques, bookstores, vinyl shops, artisan bakeries, and more fine indie-spirited restaurants like this one. Lovingly nurtured for over a decade by husband-and-wife chefs Sam and Sam Clark, the menu includes a mélange of Spanish, Moroccan, and Moorish North African flavors. Flavor-packed tapas—like babaganoush (eggplant dip), Syrian lentils, and baby squid with harissa—compete with spiced meats, serrano ham, salt cod, and char-grilled offerings. Wood-fired sea bass with hispi cabbage, grilled lamb with aubergine, or sea bream with chickpea salad are among the standout mains.
