Fodor's Review

Celebville grande dame Le Caprice commands the deepest loyalty of any restaurant in London. Why? Because it gets practically everything right—every time. It's the 35-odd-year celebrity history—think Liz Taylor, Joan Collins, and Lady Di—the sparkling monochrome decor, the giddy David Bailey '60s black-and-white pics, charming Bolivian-born Jesus Adorno as the veteran maître'd, the pitch-perfect service, and the long-standing menu that sits somewhere between Euro peasant and trendy fashion plate. Sit at the raised counter or at a coveted corner table and enjoy calves' liver with crispy pancetta, roast pheasant with caramelized quince, yellowfin tuna with borlotti beans, and signature Scandinavian iced berries with a swirl of hot white chocolate sauce. Note the weekend live jazz sessions.
