Fodor's Review

Insist on a seat in the low-lighted and white blossom-filled sky-lit conservatory at this warm and seriously romantic Provençal country inn–style bolthole in the heart of Covent Garden. A bouquet's throw away from the Royal Opera House, and once a favorite with amorous heir to the throne Prince Harry, service is decidedly Gallic and formal, while the warren of candlelit, oak-wood panel rooms, open fires, old masters oil paintings, and convex mirrors never fails to enchant. Meal deals and theater specials (£19.50–£29.50) are a cute way in, where you'll be wooed by unapologetically old-fashioned and refined French cuisine, such as Loire valley rabbit ballotine, poached wild turbot with herring roe beurre blanc sauce, or Charolais beef cheeks with fine French beans.
