Fodor's Review

London's top Spanish tapas bar is modeled after Cal Pep in Barcelona, and similarly has only a few raised bar stools (29 in total) at the three-sided marble-top counter. It's no-reservations, but the tapas are well worth the wait. Some of the brilliant small plates prepared in front of you include giant Spanish red carabineros (scarlet prawns), black squid-ink risotto with cuttlefish, rare Galician percebes ("goose barnacles") crustaceans, and octopus with capers, plus classics like Spanish tortillas, spicy chorizo, and thin-sliced cured Montanera ham. There's a crack selection of Spanish reds, whites, sherries, and sparkling cavas, and leave room for desserts like the Catalan crème brûlée or the almond-based Santiago tart. Note that they don't seat parties larger than four.
