Fodor's Review

Even though it's one of London's largest hotels, the Churchill is always abuzz with guests smiling at the perfection they find here, including warmly personalized service and calmly alluring guest rooms. The shimmering lobby is in Robert Adam–esque 19th-century style, and there's a hip connection with the Frieze Art Fair. There are two restaurants: Locanda Locatelli, one of best Italian restaurants in London, and the more traditional Montagu, overlooking Portman Square. Guest rooms are lovely and modern, and suites are hung with cutting-edge art on loan from the Saatchi collection. No-nonsense business travelers and VIPs appreciate the highly convenient Portman Square location, and so will you.

Great stay

My husband and I stayed at The Churchill this week and had a wonderful visit. We'd never explored this part or London before so it was a treat. The service at the Churchill was excellent- everyone from the concierge, to the bellhop, to the room service attendant could not have been more friendly and helpful. When I ordered my breakfast for 8am- it arrived promptly. And when I called for the tray to be taken away, they were there within minutes.

We had dinner in the restaurant on the night of our arrival and found both the food and service to be excellent. Our room was clean and comfortable, and included everything you need for a stay.
