Fodor's Review:

Michel Roux Jr. outperforms at this clubby basement haven, which some critics rate the best formal dining in London. With silver domes and un-priced ladies' menus, Roux's mastery of classic French cuisine will wow with signatures like his foie gras with cinnamon-scented crispy duck pancake, Bresse chicken with truffles and Madeira, or saddle of rabbit with Parmesan cheese. The set lunch is relatively affordable at £46 (with water, a half-bottle of wine, and coffee). In fact, it may be the best way to eat here if you don't have an expense account, which most patrons clearly do.

  • Keep in mind: Reservations essential.
  • Credit Cards: AE, DC, MC, V
  • Closed: Closed 10 days at Christmas. No lunch weekends
  • Tube: Marble Arch
