The hard-to-fool freeholders of Knightsbridge rave about the posh curries at Amaya. The dark-wood paneling, terra-cotta statues, rosewood candles, and sparkly chandelier set a sensual upscale tone, but it's the biryanis and spicy grilled fish and meats from the open show-kitchen that get customers' juices going. Watch the chefs produce the goods from the tandoor oven, sigri grill, and tawa skillet, but mind the prices -- the bill adds up quickly.

Great food -- very nicely presented. However, it's way too pricey especially considering the portion sizes.
