U-Boat Story

U-Boat Story Review

Explore the claustrophobic world of life onboard a German World War II submarine, one of only four left in the world. Sunk in 1945 by RAF depth charges, U-534 was hauled off the sea bed in 1993. Now she's docked at Birkenhead, beside the Woodside Ferry Terminal. As well as listening to interviews with crew members, you can decode enemy messages on an Enigma machine and take charge of a model submarine. There are free guided tours each day at 2.
