Warm neon lights and floor-to-ceiling windows invite you into this contemporary Chinese restaurant from the hip streets of the Northern Quarter. Deliciously simple family recipes have earned it a growing reputation; locals flock here to enjoy the famous salt-and-pepper ribs, clay-pot chicken, Lily Kwok's curry, and crispy Szechuan beef, all of which come on the fixed-price banquet menu at £20 per head. On the à la carte menu, try General Tse's sweet-and-sour chicken, named after an uncle of the owner, whose protection of his secret recipe virged on militant.
