You can follow in the footsteps of that most legendary of British bands at one of the more popular attractions in the Albert Dock complex. Entertaining scenes re-create stages in the Beatles' story (and their later careers as solo artists), from the enthusiastic early days in Germany and the Cavern Club to the White Room, where "Imagine" seems to emanate from softly billowing curtains. Artifacts include the glasses John Lennon wore when he composed "Imagine" and the blue
felt bedspread used in the famous "Bed-in" in 1969. Avoid the crowds of July and August by visiting in the late afternoon. Purchase tickets, good for two days, online in advance. A shop sells every conceivable kind of souvenir a Fab Four fan could wish for. Included in the price is admission to a second location at the Mersey Ferries Terminal at Pier Head: Fab4D, a 3-D show with computer animation. Fans will Twist and Shout with delight.
