Poole's Cavern

Poole's Cavern Review

The Peak District's extraordinary geology can be seen up close at this large limestone cave far beneath the 100 wooded acres of Buxton Country Park. The cave was inhabited in prehistoric times and contains, in addition to the standard stalactites and stalagmites, the source of the River Wye, which flows through Buxton. Admission includes a guided tour lasting nearly an hour.
