Fodor's Review:
A quiet edge of Ambleside's old center is the peaceful setting for this excellent-value B&B in a large Victorian former vicarage. Rooms are furnished in traditional English country style, with floral and print fabrics and dark wood furniture; some are well equipped for families. A log fire, great breakfasts, and a warm welcome help make this a good deal even without the pool.
