Fodor's Review:
The excellent Aquarium of the Lakes, on the quayside at the southern end of Windermere, has wildlife and waterside exhibits that focus on the region. The highlights are an underwater tunnel walk along a re-created lake bed and a re-creation of a nocturnal riverbank. You can take a boat to Lakeside from the town of Windermere or drive here.
