Fodor's Review

The narrow medieval streets behind the Town Hall, off High Street, have several half-timber Tudor buildings. It's called the Dutch Quarter because refugee weavers from the Low Countries settled here in the 16th century, when Colchester was the center of a thriving cloth trade.
