Three Horseshoes

Three Horseshoes Review

This early-19th-century pub-restaurant in a thatched cottage has an elegant dining space in the conservatory and more casual tables in the airy bar. The tempting, beautifully presented, and carefully sourced dishes are modern Italian with a British accent. Appetizers include beetroot risotto with creamed goat cheese and orange oil, and among the main courses is Gressingham duck breast with quinoa, cinnamon, coffee, and cloves. The wine list is enormous and predominantly Italian, but there are also some good New World choices. It's 5 miles west of Cambridge, about a 10-minute taxi ride.
