Framlingham Castle

Framlingham Castle Review

From the outside, this moated castle looks much as it would have in the 12th century. Upon entering, you'll notice that the keep is missing. An audio tour, included in the admission, leads you on a walk around the curtain wall, with its 13 towers. Most of the chimneys along the wall are fake; they were Tudor additions meant to give the impression to passersby that this was a great mansion. The open-air concerts in summer are worth seeking out.
